On Amanda de Cardenet’s podcast The Conversation: About the Men, actor Matthew McConaughey shared information about sex education that his parents passed on to him.

Matthew said his father taught him to be wary of her when he was alone with her. If he starts to get suspicious, you need to stop immediately. “I was taught by my family about respect for a woman, respect for relationships, respect for sexual intimacy, respect for space.”
He might start saying, “No, it’s okay, don’t stop, still stop and wait next time.” Matthew also commented on how he feels now about the violence he experienced as a teenager. “I’m not going to let this shake my trust in people and say I can’t have healthy relationships. It’s not open to discussion.”
Recall that the actor was sexually assaulted at the age of 15 and harassed by an 18-year-old man. “I was blackmailed into having sex for the first time when I was 15,” McConaughey writes. “I was sure I was going to hell because of premarital sex. Now I hope not.” He spoke of this in his autobiographical book “Green Light.”
