After the main fashion event of the year in New York, London Fashion Week kicked off pretty quickly and Queen II. Elizabeth’s death significantly affected the latter’s schedule. All the shows are progressing at lightning speed on a highly compressed schedule, and designers Burberry and Raf Simons have canceled their shows altogether. One of the headlines of Fashion Week, Nensi Dojaka’s event remained on the program to delight fashion designers. The list of fans of the brand includes Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, Emily Ratajkowski, Rihanna, Zendaya and more. And this year, special attention was paid to the show of the brand – after all, last year Nancy Doyaka was awarded the prestigious LVMH Award.

The main message of Nensi Dojaka is to rethink the aesthetics of the 90s and female sexuality. Nancy was born in Albania, but moved to London to study design, perhaps choosing her fashion talent’s main blacksmith – Central Saint Martins College, the haven of John Galliano and Alexander McQueen. The fashion designer realized that it was more interesting for her to work not with solid images, but with small pieces of fabric and details. And so the idea was born as Nancy’s hallmark of lingerie-like dresses. Accent bodices, asymmetrical laces and spaghetti straps – the designer’s signature fashion codes are now widely recognized around the world. However, if earlier Nancy created mostly black clothes, then in the spring-summer season she decided to go without money.

And the joke definitely worked. In addition to the classic black for the designer, several shades of pink (the barbiecore trend does not bypass anyone), wine, beige and lilac were featured at the show. As for many cuts and cuts, Nancy remained true to herself – accent bras and the original delicacy of laces are still with us. There was also room for new motifs, from hearts on bodices to silver sequins on dresses and skirts. Particularly surprising was the use of leopard print, which Nancy transferred to a translucent fabric – the iconic pattern seemed to have acquired a completely new, unpretentious sound. And yes, animal prints can already be safely classified as timeless classics.

The show was completed by one of the main fans of the Emily Ratajkowski brand in a translucent wine maxi dress with a mesh bodice and several straps at once. In a nutshell, the overall tone of overtly sexy and feminine is not just another attempt to keep up with trends, but a hallmark of the brand that Nancy put forward even before it went mainstream. There is not even a hint of rudeness in the work of the designer, and the post even receives three stars for such “candid” work. Nensi Dojaka’s spring-summer collection even exceeded our expectations: the fashion designer not only mastered the brand’s iconic silhouettes, but also showed how it can be enhanced with motifs. And, of course, we don’t forget Nancy’s environmental message – the designer has long proven with her own example how beautiful and promising a second life can be for scraps of fabric.
