Alexander Tsypkin

Writer Alexander Tsypkin gave a long interview for the first time after a long time. It is almost entirely devoted to Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. Oksana Lavrentieva’s husband admitted that he tried to be objective and explained why he took a certain position.

– wrote Alexander on the telegram channel.

We’ve collected key excerpts from Tsypkin’s interview on the Propaganda YouTube channel.

About the special operation

Someone living in Russia might misunderstand special ops, but also not for Ukraine. They once saw war in Afghanistan, Iraq or Vietnam as a wrong decision. I’m not giving people an assessment, it’s weird to be civil and have any other point of view other than wanting the end of ***** (special ops – Approximate edition). Our president said the war was a tragedy. I agree with him. Next comes the responsibility of politicians, the military and the special services.

People often come up to me because people are trying to sit in a black and white picture, asking me to speak in a way that everyone can understand. I am in favor of ending this conflict faster on condition of compromise. And already the army and the country’s leadership are determining what they will do next. People want certainty.

I have strict rules. I help anyone I can: with concrete actions, with money. I’ve done a lot in these four months, I don’t want to PR on that basis. I understand that no matter how I feel about this conflict, none of my pacifist statements will stop it.

What happens after the conflict ends?

There will be a story of problems that we will face. With us, this conflict will be endless and it didn’t start in February. These conflicts around Russia will only get bigger. This is how the world works, we are a huge country with a huge amount of resources. We will always have to defend ourselves. This does not mean that other countries are bad, they are also fighting for resources.

About the immigrants

Those who leave need to be divided, there are many categories, it is impossible to fit everyone in one size. Some are at real risk of persecution, while others simply want to try living in another country because they assume that the oppressive movement will increase there. There are people who are afraid that a nuclear bomb will come here. Conditional revolutionaries want to change the regime and the system, they oppose it. We should try to come to terms with each other.

about sanctions

It is absolutely sin for me to complain, yes, I will not go to some countries that perform. Nothing terrible compared to the serious problems that others have. I am ashamed to say that the sanctions have affected me.

about the information war

Everyone says we lost, but let’s look at the ratings of the support given to the special operations in the country. Now it is difficult to fully trust these figures. Still, even from my acquaintances, I can say that this particular operation made vatniks from ardent liberals (a politically colorful nickname for people who support the modern political regime in Russia and a lesson in foreign policy – Approximate edition).

About propaganda

I worry about transgender propaganda because the victims will be children. By the way, I think discrimination is wrong.

About life strategy and dreams

I do everything for financial independence so I don’t have to do what I don’t want in my life for the sake of money. I want to sell my articles dearly so that I don’t write what I don’t want.

My dream is to live with my wife for a long time and together.

About social networks

My performance of “(Not) Ideal Che” at the Yermolova Theater is about the creation of the year 1937 for each of us, who received the right to be persecuted on social networks. It’s not about the authorities building it, but we ourselves, because we provide information about social networks, poisoning and destroying (social death instead of truth). Unfortunately, the social networks I’ve been attached to for a long time, and which I believe is a great achievement of human freedom, have turned into a tool of harassment and a culture of revocation that gives teeth shuddering. Now everyone can try to destroy the other. When I went out for vaccinations, I first started raking a big hat. They wrote to me: “Die, creature!”, “Let your children burn in hell”, etc. All over the world because everyone has a very seductive right to vote. People started to use it more for anything negative. There is another aspect: perhaps, without social networks, we would already have 1937, and now all the aggression is flowing there. Now the civil war is on social media.

books worth reading

Now I’m reading Orhan Pamuk’s The Plague Nights. I can recommend you to read “The Invincible Sun” and “SNUFF” by Viktor Pelevin. From the classics, I can recommend the works of Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol and Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov.
