The 79th Venice Film Festival, one of the most remarkable events of the year, came to an end recently. Films such as Don’t Worry, Sunshine with Harry Styles and Florence Pugh, Blonde with Ana de Armas, Complete and Complete with Timothée Chalamet and more were presented at the event – see the results of the awards here.
In pursuit, we’ve rounded up the best star images for all days of the festival, so it looks like it’s time for a separate award. Tilda Swinton’s bold minimalism, Tessa Thompson’s hooliganism and 70th Harry Styles’ homage – we will definitely remember the 2022 film festival with just one kind word.
Tilda Swinton

When: September 6, the premiere of the detective drama “Eternal Daughter”
What: Haider Ackermann dress
Tilda Swinton’s style is the golden middle ground between timeless classics and bold minimalism. And the image of the actress for the premiere of the movie “Eternal Daughter” is an excellent proof of this. Tilda chose a silver-sequined Haider Ackermann lilac maxi dress for the red carpet and completed the look with laconic pumps and gemstone rings. The top of the outfit is carelessly laid bright yellow strands, complementing the overall picture with a bang.
Tessa Thompson

When: September 5, the premiere of the psychological thriller “Don’t Worry, Sunshine”
What: Marc Jacobs dress
Tessa Thompson was named the most fashionable star of the 79th Venice Film Festival by fashion critics. And we completely agree with them: the actress skillfully played light hooligan looks from Sciaparelli and more classic options from Elie Saab, sweetening the latter with original details or hairstyles. Our absolute champion is Tessa appearing at the premiere of “Don’t Worry, Sunshine” in a light green dress with metal flounces and a Marc Jacobs train. Just space.
Harry Styles

When: September 5, the premiere of the psychological thriller “Don’t Worry, Sunshine”
What: gucci suit
The choice of concert images of Harry Styles can always be viewed endlessly: the singer skillfully plays retro outfits and never separates them into feminine and masculine. And we sing a song to the courage of the actor: the premiere of “Don’t Worry, Sunshine” took place for him exactly under the same revolutionary sign. Harry opted for a navy blue Gucci suit with an accent shirt collar, square glasses, and white boots. The blue manicure of the singer became a cherry. We can now safely thank Styles not only for a happy childhood with One Direction songs, but also for his resolute opposition to gender boundaries.
Ana de Armas

When: September 8, the premiere of the psychological drama “Blonde”
What: Louis Vuitton dress
The premiere of the drama “Blonde”, about the life of Marilyn Monroe, was awaited with special trepidation. As well as the outfit she wore at the premiere of the movie’s lead actress, Ana de Armas. And the actress justified all expectations: for her outfit, she combined two references to the images of a diva at once in one dress with a Louis Vuitton pleated skirt. The pink color of the outfit and the Messika diamond necklace refer to Marilyn’s outfit in Gentlemen Love Blondes (1953), while the deep neckline and gathers on the bodice refer to The Seven Year Itch (1954). 11 out of 10
Cate Blanchett

When: September 1, the premiere of the biographical drama “Tar”
What: Schiaparelli overalls
An outfit from the Paris House of Schiaparelli is perhaps the most win-win option for the red carpet. And Cate Blanchett made the right choice: For the premiere of “Tar,” the actress showcased a flared-leg velvet jumpsuit from the Schiaparelli Couture FW23 collection with accents and floral trim. In addition, she chose minimalist diamond earrings and a gold ring to bring out the botanical centerpieces.
Grace Elizabeth

When: August 31, the premiere of the comedy-drama “White Noise”
What: Alberta Feretti dress
Model and Victoria’s Secret angel Grace Elizabeth is now clearly on horseback: she was featured on the cover of Love Want magazine in early August, and recently graced the shoot for V Magazine. His appearance at the premiere of “White Noise” is another cause of heated debate. The editors of the leading fashionable telegram channels have been writing tributes to him for several days. Alberta Feretti’s snow-white crossover bustier dress and chunky silver choker necklace are perfect examples of understated minimalism. By the way, choosing an all-white look for the red carpet is a pretty risky undertaking, given the traditional adherence to black outfits. But as they say, who does not take risks, he …
Julianne Moore

When: August 31, the premiere of the comedy-drama “White Noise”
What: Valentino cape dress
All day long at the 2022 Venice Film Festival, Julianne Moore bet on combining three trump cards: all-black, sparkles, and the effect of a nude body. But for this reason, fashion editors did not stop discussing the images of the 61-year-old actress. For the opening of the film festival, Julianne chose a Valentino bustier dress with a neat cape, lavishly covered with sequins in linear ornaments. It’s a tandem of elegance and not at all deliberate sexuality – the actress knows a lot about making appearances for the red carpet.
