Three tips to have the self-confidence of a superheroine

I asked the editorial staff of the magazine to give me tips to increase self-confidence, to be reused to become the superheroine of one’s daily life.

Trying to visualize different superheroes, the choice is yours ever since the Marvel universe is full of them. However, they all have one thing in common: when superheroines are in the skin of their superhuman alter ego, their self-esteem and presence increase in proportion to their musculature.

So surely being able to lift a bus with one hand, or throwing a car is not within everyone’s reach. However, is it really necessary to have superpowers to face the challenges of everyday life? The answer is no ! Besides, it’s not the She-Hulk he wants …

This character is the latest from Marvel Studios for Disney +. His real name is Jennifer Walters, and this is Bruce Banners’ cousin aka Hulk. Also, this will help him accept his recent transformation into this creature with green skin and impressive musculature. Step by step, this new look will soon become a strength, a bit like a better version of herself : more badass and above all with more confidence. This arouses admiration, even inspiration …

So without further ado, here are the editorial tips to reveal the superhero in you.

Treat yourself as you treat your best friend

This is a recommendation that is quite revealing the kindness you give yourself. Also, this can be checked in three fairly simple points that you will pay attention to. First of all, apply the advice you give to your best friend in your life. If you give them to one of the people most important to you, you know deep down that they will benefit you. The more you agree with yourself, the more you trust yourself.

In a second time, the availability you give to your friend must be the same for you. Remember to take time for yourself, do activities you enjoy, spend time alone, take the time to read, play a sport … do things that make you feel good, that make you feel better and more peaceful. Don’t be afraid to be a little selfish, because becoming aware of his improvements, progress and successes will make you feel stronger.

Third, surround yourself with people who love you ! It sounds obvious, but sometimes love or friendship can blind you, and toxic behaviors can go unnoticed. Spread the word, you probably wouldn’t let your best friend hang out with anyone, then treat each other with the same respectand spend time with the people who push you high!

Stop comparisons

I am well aware that this is quite difficult to implement, especially because girls are raised from an early age to compete with each other … But small gestures can help you, for example by reducing the time spent on social networks, and keep that in mind what you see is often staged.

I can’t say it enough, but get inspired by superheroes like She-Hulk. Instead of seeing you as a normal fish in the middle of the ocean that has to do well, try to make your strengths and qualities a strong point (obviously you have some).

Suppose you are unique in your own way, which is a fact, and that you are different from anyone else. Not identifying with the masses does not make you marginal, it makes you irreplaceable.

Change your posture

Until then, Jennifer Walters was a lawyer in a large firm, and overnight she was struck by family genetics and doomed to change. But unlike her cousin, he quickly takes advantage of the situation and quickly manages to control his morph. Sure, he has green skin, but he pulled muscles without having to suffer during long sports sessions. You must always see the glass as half full.

You tell yourself that taking on green skin doesn’t have to be easy every day, but despite the judgments, She-Hulk keeps her head up and carries on. So he looks silly, but the posture you adopt in society can change the relationship you have with others.

All this can be done very subconsciously for you and your interlocutors, but someone who stands straight, seems safer, attract more attention. Sometimes self-confidence is a huge deception, you can get the impression that you are in front of someone who throws their confidence in your face when they are not … This person is only a certain way.

The straight back, chest forward and head up will allow you to see the other’s gaze change on you, which will put you quite at ease in society.

These tips can be applied to anyone and at any time, be sure. Same superheroines are not born with skyrocketing self-esteem, this is acquired over time. The secret of superheroes is their attitude. As they say, once in a while, feel free to pretend until you actually do it.

To take self-confidence lessons from a superheroine, you can always watch the new She-Hulk: Lawyer series available on the Disney + platform from August 18th. Above all, he remembers to be kind to yourself. It’s not easy every day, but it’s the same for everyone.
