JK Rowling did not appear on her own initiative in the HBO Max Harry Potter special – she told presenter Graham Norton on her show on Virgin Radio UK.
Recall that the tribute episode “Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts” is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the release of the movie “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”.
After its premiere, many were outraged that their books about the young wizard didn’t include JK Rowling, from which the film series was based.
