Exclusive: REinvent International Sales has signed an agreement in North America Dark heartSwedish true crime series Guilty Directed by Gustav Moller, with streaming service, theme that takes over the rights of the United States and the public broadcaster CBC Gem that hijacks Canada.
A show created with Oscar Soderlund (Ა Easy Money), premiered at Sundance this year and recently appeared in the Mania series, where it won Best Series in the International Panorama section.
With Gustav Linde in the five-episode series (Queen of Hearts), Clara C. Drake (carbonator), Peter Anderson (უთი Girl’s dragon tattoo Trilogy) and Alieth Offheim (Caliphate) Directs. It’s a psychological thriller that tells the story of how an old family feud collides with a forbidden young romance, followed by a deadly tragedy that is finally solved by a private investigator obsessed with the case. The story is based on a book by journalist Joachim Palmquist. Dark Heart: the true story of greed, murder and a suspicious investigator.
CBC Gem will air the show this summer and the theme will follow six months later.
The Dark Heart is produced by Anna Carlsten and Caroline Landerberg / FLX Discovery + in collaboration with Film i Skåne and REinvent International sales.
The deal was negotiated by Vice President of Acquisitions Jennifer Liang and REinvent Senior Sales Manager Peter Ahlen, while the CBC deal was prepared by CBC Senior Director of Acquisitions Jenna Burdome and Reinvent Sangerne.
