Singer Demi Lovato spoke about her battle with drug and alcohol addiction on her Call Her Daddy podcast. She confessed for the first time after she had an accident that she was a drug addict and that a doctor had prescribed her opiates.

Demi noted that when she saw how many pills Demi took, her mother began to hide the pills from her. Later she became addicted to other substances as well. He said and stated that he went to rehab as soon as he turned 18.

In addition to her drug problems, Demi also had problems with alcohol during her teenage years. She admitted once that her stepfather stole a beer from the refrigerator and drank it alone. The event “must be a wake-up call,” she said.

The singer added that the team that “really supported” him helped him in his rehabilitation.

In 2018, the singer almost died after an overdose of drugs: he survived three strokes and a heart attack. The overdose left many unpleasant consequences for Lovato’s health: for example, she still cannot drive due to brain damage and has vision problems.
