Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier will give a keynote address at Mipcom in October as the event prepares to bring back several US and UK studios after a pandemic-induced absence.

Collier provides insights into Fox Entertainment’s business, explains its growth strategy, and discusses broader industry issues. He directs the overall creative and commercial vision of the Murdoch family-owned operation, which includes the Fox broadcast network, the in-house no-script Fox Alternative Entertainment and the scripted group Fox Entertainment Studios; the culinary and lifestyle business studio Ramsay Global, the animation studio Bento Box Entertainment; TMZ entertainment platform; creative media and technology company Web3 Blockchain Creative Labs; the streaming platform Tubi; and the global studio MarVista Entertainment, whose CEO and founding partner, Fernando Sevi, is one of the most important faces of MipTV and Mipcom.

Prior to joining Fox, Collier was president and general manager of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios, overseeing the creative and commercial operations for all three divisions. He joined AMC in 2006 and was promoted to president in 2008. Under his leadership, AMC has produced series that defined an era as judicial proceedings, breaking Bad Y Living Dead. Prior to AMC, he worked at Court TV, Oxygen Media, A + E Networks and TeleRep.

In total, more than 10,000 delegates are expected to attend the market, which is closer to the experience expected before the pandemic. The event returned last year, but at a greatly reduced level.
