House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tested positive at Covid amid concerns about diffusion among DC’s top leaders.
Drew Hamill, a spokesperson for the speaker, said in a statement, “After a negative test this week, Speaker Pelosi tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic. The speaker is fully vaccinated and improved and is grateful for the strong protection provided by the vaccine. The speaker will quarantine in accordance with CDC guidelines and urges everyone to vaccinate, harden and test regularly.
Pelosi was onstage with President Joe Biden on Wednesday at a White House event to sign postal service reform legislation, as well as an event on Tuesday dedicated to the anniversary of the Affordable Care Act. Biden, former President Barack, was also in attendance. Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris.
He was not present at the Gridiron Club dinner on Saturday night, a white-tie meeting attended by MPs, cabinet representatives and media personalities.
