Canadian rapper Drake canceled his Young Money Reunion show after testing positive at Covid-19.
The show, which featured Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, was due to take place on August 1st. Tonight’s reunion concert was part of October’s World Weekend Festival, a five-day musical event held in Drake’s hometown of Toronto, Canada.
Drake took to his Instagram this morning to announce the cancellation and apologize. He told fans to expect a “later” show.
During the World Weekend in October, Lil Baby and singer Chris Brown performed on the first and second day of the festival, with a large presence of Canadian artists.
This version marks one of the first in Canada, by Canadian musicians. Justin Bieber had to cancel several shows in Toronto in June due to illness. Singer The Weekend also had to cancel shows due to the Rogers network outage.
