Paramount Global has announced Pamela Kaufman as effective replacement for Rafael Anechino to manage international oversight.
Kaufman is taking on a leading role in the US firm in the newly created role of President and CEO of International Markets, Global Consumer Products and Experiences.
He will be responsible for the continued growth of Paramount’s international operations and will ensure the strength of the company’s international operations on six continents, including broadcast and cable networks, broadcasting, studios and commercials.
The role expands for Kaufman, who in late 2021 became Paramount’s Global Consumer Products and Experience (then ViacomCBS), overseeing a number of areas including global product, business development and marketing. He worked at Nickelodeon, also overseeing the products.
He will report to CEO Bob Bakish, who said, “Pam has been a strategic force behind the growth and expansion of some of entertainment’s most iconic global franchises and properties. You are a proven and trusted leader who has transformed our consumer products organization. “
Kaufman said the promotion comes at a “pivotal time for Paramount’s international affairs.”
“I know firsthand the global strength of our brand portfolio and look forward to working with Bob and the incredible international team as we continue our global growth strategy.”
In reality he replaces Anechino, put on “vacation” by Bakish a few weeks ago. At the moment no further details on the situation have been released.
