Russian concert agencies began to include a clause in contracts with artists prohibiting political statements from the stage. This was reported by RBC citing representatives of two concert agencies and concert directors of several well-known bands. The information was confirmed to the publication by Eduard Ratnikov, the managing director of the TCI agency, which organized the performances of Rammstein, Aria, Alisa and others. Sergey Babich, director of the Colisium International Music Industry Forum, noted recently that this applies to all major events and has a great character.
Thus, the journalists received a copy of the agreement, which states that one of the groups does not have the right to “disseminate inaccurate information about the course of the special military operation in Ukraine by any means, including audio-visual.” In addition, musicians are prohibited from using “Ukrainian state symbols and other symbols, including confusingly similar ones, to draw false conclusions about the goals and objectives of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of Ukraine.”
In case of violation of this clause and the cancellation of the concert, the artist will have to reimburse the costs of organizing the event. In addition, he will have to pay a fine of 500 thousand rubles in three days.
Earlier, during a concert in Ufa, Yuri Shevchuk spoke out against the military special operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine: a protocol was drawn up against him to discredit the RF Armed Forces. Later, a list of unwanted artists circulated on the network, which included many musicians who did not support the policies of the Russian government, including the singer Manizha, the Little Big group and others.
