Scandal: ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel actor speaks out about racial abuse by fans of the show

In a month, the long-awaited premiere of House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, will take place. The film will reportedly feature Rhaenys Velaryon (played by Eve Best), Viserys’ cousin and wife of Lord Corlis Velaryon (Steve Toussaint), who is defending Damon’s candidacy. Actor Steve Toussaint admitted that his fans weren’t happy when they found out he was going to star in the prequel of the series.

And the thing is, according to the plot of the book (written by George RR Martin), the appearance of the actor does not quite fit the description of the character given by the author. Descendants of ancient Valyria are said to have pale skin and white (or silver) hair. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Steve revealed that he was unhappy that online fans would be playing the role. The actress also added that she was subjected to racial harassment.
