Famous British primatologist Jane Goodall now has a Barbie in her likeness.

Jane Goodall’s life is great and Barbie wants to celebrate it. The primatologist, nearly 90, went to great lengths to change our view and provide great knowledge about chimpanzees and great apes.

Today the American manufacturer Mattel has decided to put the career of this great woman in the foreground, and to dedicate a brand new Barbie to her, made with recycled plastic.

I’ve been suggesting for a long time that girls don’t just want to be movie stars, many of them, like me, want to be in nature to study animals. […]

When I was growing up, there were no female role models. My heroes, my role models were Tarzan, Doctor Dolittle … There were no women doing the kind of thing I wanted to do.
