Ricky Martin is back at the center of scandalous news. In early July, the press reported that a man had accused the singer of domestic violence and that police had tried to get Martin a restraining order against the alleged victim. Now even more shocking details emerge: According to the Spanish edition of Marca, the man who suffered from Ricky’s actions turned out to be his own nephew.

Citing the 50-year-old artist’s brother, the publication writes that 21-year-old Dennis Sanchez went to court saying he and his famous uncle were having an affair. The relationship allegedly ended at Dennis’s initiative in early 2022, but Martin “did not accept the separation” and began stalking the young man. As Marca clarified, the singer could face up to 50 years in prison for incest if proven guilty.

On July 21, Sanchez will testify in court. Martin’s lawyers issued a statement denying all charges, citing the singer’s nephew’s mental illness:
