Exclusive: Israeli and German networks have the green light DreamMars, A live action series about eight teens flying to Mars preparing for a pivotal mission to settle on the Red Planet.
The show will air next year on Israel’s HOT children’s channel Zoom and Germany’s KiKA, filming in Israel’s first space simulation center, which replicates settlements on Mars.
Co-produced by STORYZ Productions, SKLAN & KA, SAMKA and German broadcasters NDR, HR, SWR and RBB, a 20-part series for seniors and teenagers, set in 2045, describes the group’s journey from attempting to travel to Mars. That they landed in the wrong place and cut off communication with Earth, just hours before the electricity in their spacesuits ran out and everyone died. The protagonist Emma is a space fanatic whose head was killed on a failed mission a few years earlier, and she sneaks into the expedition under a false identity, where she connects with the exquisite daughter of the space minister.
Jetpack Distribution handles international sales. The creators are Sivan Shiknaji (dead body), Heim Avihail (the rule of shadows), Mickey Mouse Giuseppe (our curator) and Shuli Sheindeli. Directed by Rani Saaria.
