Last Saturday was the final of the Wimbledon tennis tournament. Kazakhstan representative Elena Rybakina, born in Moscow, defeated Tunisian athlete Ons Zhaber. Wimbledon previously banned Russian athletes from participating in the tournament.

Recall that since 2018, Elena Rybakina has represented the Kazakhstan national team at international competitions. The athlete made such a decision (judging by what he wrote in the sports world), after additional funding was refused in Russia, while Kazakhstan, on the contrary, believed in the strength and abilities of the athlete.
