Fashion week continues in Paris and today the public has seen Chanel’s new collection. Among those invited to the show was Keira Knightley, along with her husband, James Righton and Marion Cotillard. Spletnik fashion editor Nadia Bechetnikova He talks about how the fashion show went.
The main reference of the collection seems to be the 1930s. The rounded shoulders, geometric patterns, suits and long dresses are reminiscent of the aesthetics of those years and the outfits created by Coco Chanel this decade. Another nod to the brand’s roots is the “1932” capsule jewellery, a tribute to Coco Chanel’s first and only high jewelery collection, Bijoux de Diamants, created in 1932.

Of course, the traditional image of the bride was not without it – on the catwalk she was presented by the plus-size model Jill Kortlev. She closed the show in a strapless dress accented with a long embroidered shawl.
Xavier Veillant worked on the scenography again and this year he prepared the scenery for the show of the spring-summer couture collection.
