Cipolloni and WH’s former associate attorney, Pat Philbin, held an informal meeting with the committee in April, but declined to cooperate further. As the trials progressed, she emerged as one of the few key voices that could (if not) tie together the many threads knitted by the witnesses.
The vice chairman of the committee, Rep. “The time has come for Mr. Cipollone to testify formally,” Liz Cheney wrote this morning. “Any concerns you have about the corporate interests of your previous position outweigh your need to testify.”

Cipollone’s name has featured prominently in several scenes painted by Hutchinson. He said that on the morning of January 6, Cipollone called here: “Please make sure we don’t go to the Capitol, Cassidy. reach me. If we make this move, we will be prosecuted for every conceivable crime.”
Hutchinson also said there was a conversation between WH adviser and Meadows in which Cipollone asked Trump’s chief of staff to persuade the president to stop the attack on Capitol Hill while it was taking place.
It is not clear at this time whether Cipollone will be shown on television. But after Hutchinson’s successful appearance, if the former WH adviser were to get on camera, he would likely have been taken over by every network and news organization in the country.
