I Believe I Can Fly singer Ar Kelly found suicidal

This week, Robert Kelly (Rh Kelly), artist of I Believe I Can Fly, was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He was found guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering, including minors among the victims. According to his lawyer, the musician was sent to Brooklyn prison, where he was put on suicide watch, a special kind of monitoring of suicidal people.

According to CNN, R. Kelly’s lawyers filed suit and sought a temporary restraining order. Representatives of the artist said that he does not belong to those who can commit suicide.

“This is a punishment for fame. And frankly, this is terrible. They recognize him as suicidal and put him under special surveillance when he doesn’t need it, it’s cruel,” said attorney Jennifer Bonjean.

According to him, the Brooklyn Detention Center has a specific policy of punishing high-ranking figures. They put known prisoners in cells for suicidal people, even if they are not one of them. These prisoners are under 24-hour surveillance in a “cut off” room with no comforts whatsoever.

“They are completely isolated. They are forced to wear a robe made of a blanket-like material, with their clothes and underwear removed. They are denied food containers. They cannot shower or shave,” said attorney R Kelly. “These conditions may actually be suitable for those who are suicidal, but are useless for those who are not,” Jennifer added.
