What literary heroes inspire Russians?

It’s no secret that the heroes of literary works inspire many readers. Some even see them as real role models. So the liter book service conducted a survey among Russians and determined which literary characters Russian readers liked. This was said by the publication “The Rule of Life”.

It turns out that the most popular role models are Sherlock Holmes from Arthur Conan Doyle’s work and everyone’s favorite Hermione Granger from “Harry Potter.”

Third place went to The Little Prince from the novel of the same name by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. It’s followed by Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and Severus Snape from the Harry Potter saga.

More than 1500 people participated in the survey. Many admitted that they were inspired by literary characters and believed that even negative characters were role models.
