Trafalgar Release and Warner Bros. Meet the Digital Remaster ABBA: Movie Two nights in May to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Swedish pop sensation.

The film was directed by Las Holstroms during the band’s successful 1977 tour of Australia and was first released the same year. ABBA: Cinema – Fan Event “It will take viewers back to the 1970s, when disco reigned and ABBA was the international pop royalty,” the statement said. The events will take place in 450 theaters across the United States and Canada on May 12 and 14.

The film stars ABBA members Ani-Fried Lingstad, Benny Anderson, Bjorn Ulveus and Agneta Feltskog. Big hits like The Dancing Queen and The Name of the Game.

The plot of the movie is a compelling story about a country radio disc jockey who tries to interview a band while a special bodyguard does his best to thwart him.

“It will be a fun event for fans to get together and experience ABBA on the big screen for the first time since its 1977 launch,” said Kymberli Frueh, Trafalgar’s senior vice president of programming and content acquisition. We hope everyone will look deep into their wardrobe to find the classic outfits of the 70s.

ABBA: Movie DCP remastered from IP and scanned at 2K resolution. During the refactoring process, dirt, scratches and imperfections were digitally cleaned and sound restored. Reissue, Warner Bros. Completed in Motion Picture Imaging at Studios.
