Netflix prepares for the Tour De France documentary series

Netflix is ​​partnering with sporting event organizer ASO on a cycling documentary series of the Tour de France 2022. With France Télévisions and a producer of Quadbox, the series follows the journey of eight teams competing in the toughest cycling race in the world.

The eight-episode documentary portrays all the protagonists of the Tour de France, from cyclists to team managers, to understand the multiple challenges of a race that has become a true international symbol, broadcast in 190 territories. Filming will take place from March to July 2022 on Netflix for the first half of 2023. In addition, France Télévisions will broadcast the one-hour documentary a few days before the start of the 2023 Tour de France.

The 2,068-mile course begins July 1 in Denmark, where teams compete for the yellow jersey on grueling hills and steps before crossing the finish line in Paris on July 24.
