After some logistics companies stopped shipping to Russia from online stores in other countries, shopping in foreign markets seemed impossible to many. However, the operation of CDEK Forward international delivery service continues as usual.
The Fashion Vibes contacted the CDEK press service and learned how you can now order goods from your favorite foreign stores and how much it will cost. We’ve also prepared detailed instructions to help you place your first order.
How to deliver the goods
CDEK Forward is currently collaborating with 60 joint buyers. These are real professionals in their field from different parts of the world: USA, Europe, Kazakhstan and all Russia.
Bayer uses the goods in a store in one of the countries where it is located and ships it to the CDEK warehouse. The buyer sends the track number received in the online store to the client, thereby entering it in his personal account on the website global.cdek.ru. Thanks to this, warehouse workers understand that the package from this online store corresponds to a specific customer.
Some goods can be sent directly, some goods are in transit from another country. Depending on the goods, these countries may vary.
About the cost of goods
According to the new EU rules, it is still impossible to export goods over 300 euros. The customer cannot order watches or bags for 900 euros, but can order three different items for 299 euros each so that the total cost of the package does not exceed 1000 euros and does not pay customs duty. However, products can still be ordered for personal use only. The order should not contain many identical items.
There is also a list of “luxury goods” (artwork, jewellery, colored diamonds, watches – Ed.), the import of which is prohibited. If the goods fall on this list or pass the customs code prohibited for export, they will not be able to be brought to Russia.
How are shipping costs calculated?
We calculate shipping cost based on actual weight and dimensional weight. The complexity of transportation does not affect this.
SDEK marking on the price in the store
Currently, the purchase price is fixed and amounts to 10% of the order value. The minimum purchase price is $5.
If a customer orders an item totaling $20, the refund value will be $5. If a customer orders goods for a total of $400, the refund cost will be 10%, i.e. $40, for regular customers – 5%.
Which stores can deliver?
Ebay, Amazon, Wallmart, Jet, Asos, Farfetch, iHerb etc. You can check the products from the stores. See the full list here.
