Banksy’s work sold for $106,000. The money will help a children’s hospital in Ukraine
The unnamed owner sold the work of British street artist Banksy for $106,000 and sent the money to humanitarian aid in Ukraine. The work was sold at an online auction, the initial price was 20 thousand pounds (more than 26 thousand dollars), but quickly soared.
Proceeds from the sale will be directed to Okhmatdet, one of the largest hospitals in Ukraine. Before the conflict began, children with serious illnesses were treated there. Now the medical institution helps people suffering as a result of hostilities.
The anti-war work CND Soldiers is a graffiti edition of the same name created in 2005. It depicts two soldiers painting the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament emblem on a wall.
