VTSIOM shared the results of a survey that shows that most Russians are sure: We are not alone in the universe. According to the study, 79% of the participants believe that there are other reasonable creatures in space, and only each tenth rejects such an opportunity.
Men generally wondered about the existence of aliens: 76% of 83% of women. And almost half of the survey participants (46%) admit that aliens can already be on earth, they know how to hide well. At the same time, 36% are sure that there is no visit.
If people learn that there were other reasonable lifestyles in the universe, the majority (77%) would have experienced interest, a third concern and every seventh hope. However, in the contact scenarios, fantasies were given free reins: 61% believes that aliens will observe people first, and that 19% will suspect the hope of cooperation and 10% will try to capture us.
As part of the same questionnaire, participants were asked to imagine which book is worth proposing aliens to better understand humanity. In the first place, Leo Tolstoy (15%) by “war and peace”, then the Bible or the Bible (9%). In addition, by George Orwell Fedor Dostoevsky and Anti -Topia “1984” by the “crime and punishment”.
