Albania was the first country to officially appoint a digital minister to a public position. His name is translated from Diella – Albanian, which means “sunlight”. This was announced by Prime Minister Eddie Rama, who presented the project at the Socialist Party meeting. According to him, Diella will be responsible for public procurement and will work completely on the basis of artificial intelligence.

“This is the first member of the government without a physical organ, but almost created with the help of AI, Ram said Rama. He emphasized that all decisions on tender behavior will now make Diella and that the implementation of the system will be gradual. The aim of innovation is maximum transparency and protection against corruption in the field of public procurement. “This is not science fiction, but Diella’s task,” he added.
In fact, Albania citizens are already familiar with the new minister. Before that, Diella directed the E-Albania State Digital Platform, where most of the services were provided. Now their powers will expand: AI tenders and “will hire talented experts from all over the world – – this will help to remove the bureaucracy as the government hopes.
Meanwhile, a 65 -year -old bank was reportedly dismissed after the release of artificial intelligence in Australia. Read more here.
