Regular use of sugar -free tea can expand life and reduce the risk of serious illness. Scientists, as part of the British British Biobank project, almost 197,000 people examined the data and reached this conclusion. The results of the study were published in Frontiers in Nutrition.

The observations of the participants were made for 13.5 years. During this period, 6415 cancer and 2202 – 11,718 deaths associated with heart disease and blood vessels were recorded. It turned out that the smallest risk was people who drink 3.5 to 4.5 cups of sugar -free tea a day. The total mortality was 20% lower, 14% lower cancer risk, and 27% lower than those who did not drink tea from cardiovascular diseases.
At the same time, tea with sugar or artificial sweeteners did not show such advantages. Scientists suggest that sweet additives can eliminate the beneficial effect of the drink and drink without sweeteners for maximum benefit.
The authors of the study say that the results correspond to suggestions to reduce additional sugar consumption and can form the basis of future clues in healthy eating and expanding life.
