Pavel Durov officially announced a paid subscription to Telegram on his social networking channel. Telegram Premium will allow users to get additional features and download speed. They will also be the first to receive additional features. At the same time, all existing functions remain free, there will be new ones. Users who do not have Premium will be able to enjoy some benefits such as being able to see large documents, media and stickers sent by Premium users.
According to Durov, Telegram should primarily be funded by users, not advertisers. Earlier, the network released details of the new subscription – a special account design, more chats and subscriptions, special stickers and increased limits on downloading files.
