Russian director Masha Cherny received an award for Cannes for the best documentary film Doc Alliance.

“Parts” picture is based on the girl’s personal experience. He talks about how Masha plans to move from the country, but then her mother dies from cancer. He takes the camera to deal with grief and takes everything he sees. Cherny said that the work on the picture has become a kind of shield for him, “the almost impossible to survive, it is easier to survive”.
The jury praised working for unique cinematographic qualifications and recorded the cinematic language that was calm, not prone to classical narrative structures, and showed his incredible ability to unite personal and collective sorrow.
Meanwhile, Ivan Yankovsky’s sister would go abroad at the 78th Cannes International Film Festival. Learn more about it.
