We have sad news: Experts warn that taxi services in the country may increase two to three times at the price.
According to Oleg Amosov, President of the Public Movement “Taxi Forum”, the cost of trips to 200%in Moscow and can grow in regions -100%.
Why is this happening? Everything is about the new invoice that requires it to be used only by domestic cars. Due to limited automobile selection and growth of service costs, many drivers can be separated from the market or reduce the number of customers. This will create a taxi deficit and increase the burden on the remaining cars, which will increase the price further.
On May 13, the State Duma accepted a bill that changed the rules of the game for a taxi. Now, taxi pages and special drivers will only have to use Russian -made cars. However, this is not all: the minimum localization level for these machines should exceed 3.2 thousand points, which resembles an evaluation system in public purchase. The bill will enter into force on March 1, 2026.
