Hollywood actor Ezra Miller has been sued for “corrupting” an underage boy. Lawyer and activist Chase Iron Eyes and pediatrician Sarah Jumping Eagle allege that Miller had an unhealthy relationship with their daughter, Tokata, since the age of 12 (now 18).

Miller met Tokata while visiting the Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota – Tokata and her family are Native American and Sioux. When they met, Tokata was 12 and Miller was 23.

Now Tokata’s parents have submitted court papers for a protection order to the Sioux Tribal Court in Standing Rock. The lawsuit alleges that Miller exhibited “sectarian and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior” towards Tokata. According to the documents, Ezra was initially “innocently sympathetic” when he met Tokata. But parents claim that their relationship with Miller, now 29, has changed, accusing the actor of supplying their daughter with alcohol and drugs, including marijuana and LSD.

In the lawsuit, Tokata’s family allege Miller’s behavior is “a pattern of corrupting the minor.”

The documents also show that Miller paid Tokata’s tuition at Bard College in Simon’s Rock, Massachusetts, when he was 16 years old. Court documents allege that Miller “later used it against Tokata to create a sense of duty,” according to People magazine. In 2017, Miller took Tokata to London to show the set of Fantastic Beasts, after which the girl ran away from home.

Tokata’s parents claim that Tokata moved into Miller’s Vermont home after dropping out of school in December 2021. Parents claim that when they visit their daughters, they have neither driver’s license, bank cards, nor keys.

Tokata was also on a trip to Hawaii with Ezra, and in April of this year Miller was arrested several times on charges ranging from assault to improper conduct.

In the lawsuit, Tokata’s parents allege that Miller “used intimidation, threats of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to control young Tokata.” The documents also state that Ezra told Tokata to use Gibson, the nickname he used with family and friends, as his first name. Parents also claim that Ezra has decided that Tokata is a non-binary transgender despite previously declaring herself a “non-binary, queer lesbian.”

Miller himself has yet to publicly respond to the accusations, but Tokata has posted a post on Instagram* in which he defends the actor and accuses his parents of being overprotective.

Expressing that their child ‘does not have a phone’, the parents added that they are suspicious that this statement came from Tokata. In response, their daughter recorded a video message in which she said no one was checking her blog.

The opinions of Tokata subscribers are divided: one supports the girl, another expresses her concern and advises her to end her relationship with Miller as soon as possible. Some netizens suggested that Tokata go to court with Ezra and prove that she is not in danger.

Tokata is a regionally recognized activist and youth leader for Respect Out Water, a campaign against the Dakota Access pipeline. She also partnered with green activist Greta Thunberg to fight climate change and build the Keystone XL pipeline.

People also reported that the judge signed Tokata’s parents’ request for a protection order, meaning that Miller could not contact or harass Tokata, Sarah or Chase in any way and could not come within 100 meters (a little less than 100 meters) of their residence. As the whereabouts of the actor and Tokata are not yet known, an arrest warrant has not yet been issued for Miller. According to People’s news, the hearing has been postponed to July 12.

This isn’t the first public scandal that Miller has been at the center of lately. In March and April of this year, the actor was arrested several times in Hawaii for throwing a chair at a woman, as well as disorderly conduct and harassment. Situations like these can jeopardize your acting career. There is already talk in the press that Miller will lose the role of The Flash. On April 7, due to Ezra Miller’s quirks, Warner Bros. stopped working on films in which the actor starred.
