Elevators and traffic lights do not work, which creates additional difficulties for movement. Metro stopped in Lisbon and Madrid Open Tennis Tournament match was suspended in Madrid. In Valencia, the movement of high -speed trains was temporarily stopped.

Red Electrica Energy System Operator confirmed that it is working on the restoration of the power supply in cooperation with distribution companies. The reasons for large -scale closure have not yet been announced.
It should be noted that such an electricity closure in Georgia has occurred before. Approximately 20 cities, including Tiflisi and Batumi, dived into darkness due to a major accident in the electrical networks, and reported the Tiflisi Life Telegram channel.
