The house arrest of the businesswoman and her ex-husband Artem Chekalin and their business partner Roman Vishnyak has been extended until March 26. They are now being investigated for illegally withdrawing money abroad.
Let us recall that last fall a new criminal case was opened against Valeria Chekalina and her ex-husband Artem Chekalin for illegal currency transactions. Bloggers were detained on suspicion of withdrawing more than 250 million rubles using fake documents. On October 4, the court issued a preventive injunction against the ex-spouses. They were kept under house arrest until 26 November, which was later extended until 25 January 2025.
