Supernatural star Jared Padalecki will star in a new movie about doctors. The currently unnamed project is currently in development.

It is known that the actor reunited with “Walker” series producer Anna Fricke to work on the series. Deadline writes that, as with Walker, the film is set in Padalecki’s home state of Texas, but he will appear onscreen as a doctor rather than a ranger.

The most important difference of this movie from its other counterparts is that Padalecki will portray a doctor in a rural area, not a doctor working in a large clinic in a big city. The rest is in the best traditions of Doctor House. Padalecki’s character is a headstrong and dedicated doctor who practices a unique improvisational style of medicine. In his mission to heal the bodies and souls of people in remote places, the doctor is aided by his partner, a young doctor trying to escape his past.

It is not surprising that movie stories about doctors remain one of the favorites among viewers. After all, heroes in white coats are much closer than those wearing capes. This situation is also noticed by the actors who portray the roles of healthcare professionals on the big screen. Read here how they thank real doctors for their hard work.
