Filming of the fifth and final season of The Boys has begun. The creators promise that you can expect anything from it.
“The Boys” creator and showrunner Eric Kripke said he’s enjoying the freedom that comes with the latest episodes. “It’s really fun when it’s finished. I don’t even know how to convey the emotions that it evokes. It turns out there’s no need to think about how the stories will continue in the next season anymore. So you can wrap up the project in a really exciting way,” Kripke told Variety.
In the final season, Kripke emphasized the fact that Homelander is a walking psychological trauma. His desire for total power drives him crazy because deep down he wants to experience simple human emotions.
