Hello to all fashion lovers! Your fashion editor is here. There are so many trends and brands in my world that I decided to keep an online journal where I’ll take notes on the most important things in the industry. And although such diaries are often called personal, mine is open to all readers – so you will be aware of the most interesting things.
The first week of December has ended. During these few winter days, we (and the entire fashion community) managed to admire Mark Eidelstein on the cover of Wonderland and Nicole Kidman on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter, and also had the opportunity to check out Rihanna’s new looks. There was no lack of high-profile collaborations this week either; this time the results of the collaboration were shown by The North Face and Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand.
There were really many interesting events this week, so I suggest you take a short digital journey with me into the latest news from the world of fashion and learn a little more about our domestic brands, advertising campaigns and collections. Shall we begin?

We have repeatedly said that the Russian fashion industry is developing very quickly. Thus, Ozon recently announced the organization of Ozon Fashion Fest, the first business festival for entrepreneurs and professionals in the fashion industry. At the event, fashion industry leaders will talk about what is happening in the fashion industry right now: how the market and consumer preferences are changing, as well as the role digital platforms play in this. Speakers of the Ozone Fashion Festival include experts from leading Russian brands: Alisa Bokha, creative director of Monochrome, Ilya Bulychev, founder of the BLCV brand, Lina Dembikova, stylist of celebrities and TV presenter, Madonna Moore, author of the MUR Telegram channel, and others. In addition to the business program, the festival also includes an entertainment section: areas for networking, watching movies, creating jewelry and photo sessions, just like in a real glossy magazine.

Last week, Russian brand Present & Simple held an intimate Midnight event at the Savoy to present its limited-edition La Belle Époque New Year capsule. Inspired by the Belle époque, the collection brings back the bohemian atmosphere of the Orient Express. The set design, by the way, was also a pleasant surprise – clothes and accessories were arranged in the apartment like the belongings of an unpacked suitcase. Guests had the opportunity to see the products in detail; They saw velvet dresses and jackets, handmade feathered capes and attractive 100% silk products, and tried on the tassel sandals, heels, pillbox hat and pouch bag that epitomize bohemian chic.

What inspires designers when creating New Year’s collections? For example, Evgenia Linovich dedicated the festive fall to figure skating. “The fascinating effect of figure skating always lives in my heart. During the holiday, my grandfather, grandmother, mother, father and I watched the competitions, and I, of course, paid attention not to the pirouettes and sporting achievements, but to the costumes and fabrics from which they were made. And it was they who inspired me to create a new Masterpeace collection,” says Evgenia Linovich, founder and designer of the brand.
An important place in the capsule is occupied by the body suit – the main element of the figure skating costume. The base consists of a dress made of thick organic knitwear with feminine, elegant cutouts on the back, incredibly flattering on the body, and skirts compete with each other in styles – from a bubble in a mini to a luxurious sun in a maxi. Made of taffeta, satin and tulle. The designer did not ignore the micro shorts trend. In the new collection, it is offered in dark black and made of tweed. In the campaign, Masterpeace styles them in red and encourages them to be bold, pull out the most extraordinary, bright tights from their wardrobe and show their individuality.

Russian brands know how to surprise and do it often, especially lately. This time St. Petersburg optical brand PYE made us happy. This season the team is causing a real riot in its niche by launching a bold collection of clips designed for the brand’s 12 models. In general, clip-ons are lightweight and flexible attachments with sun protection lenses. It gives freedom to those who wear prescription glasses and helps them forget the need for a second pair of sunglasses. It eliminates the hassle of wearing two pairs and allows you to maintain vision correction while effectively changing the style of your glasses. Equipped with full UV protection lenses, category 3 tint and anti-reflective coating, PYE clip-ons make your look impressive, bold and distinctive. They easily attach to the frame in one move, are securely fixed and look very cool at the same time.

The Fashion Vibes fashion department introduces you to new cool Russian brands almost every day. Today we are talking about the Proporcia brand, whose design team relies on bold design, complex geometry and natural materials. The founders of the brand love complex cuts, mixing different textures and shapes, and creating space for experimentation and research. “Our design is our game, our way of expressing ourselves and communicating with the world,” share Olya Preobrazhenskaya and Lena Ozerova.
In the brand’s collection, you will find asymmetrical long sleeves, skirts, dresses and vests that match both casual and stylish pieces.

New Year’s Eve is getting closer and closer, which means it’s time to choose a festive look. If you haven’t decided yet, we recommend you to meet the Maizel brand, which has incredibly feminine dresses in its collection that you will not want to take off. “Our dresses and suits are timeless classics. Each product is self-sufficient, but if you want to add individuality you can complement it with accessories. “Our models are timeless and will always be in fashion,” shares the founder of the brand.
