Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are about to become relatives. Their children announced their engagement and are already preparing for the wedding.
Eddie’s son Eric Murphy proposed to Martin’s daughter Jasmine Lawrence. Lovers reported this on social networks. Set to Eric Benet’s song Don’t Spend My Life With You, the engagement video opens with footage of Eric decorating the room with candles and bouquets of roses and covering the floor with flower petals, before cutting to Jasmine’s reaction. Eric gets down on one knee and opens the ring box. “This is beautiful. Oh my God,” Jasmine exclaimed before shouting “yes.”
Jasmine and Eric wrote in the caption of their joint post: “We are engaged! God has blessed us with a love that truly feels like destiny. “We’re so excited for the next chapter.”
Recall that Murphy first became a father in 1989. Then Paulette McNeely gave birth to her son Eric. He had another son, Christian, with Tamara Hood in 1990. Actress Nicole Mitchell gave him five children (including son Miles). Their first daughter, Bria, was born in 1989, their son, Miles, in 1992, their daughter, Shane, in 1994, Zola in 1999, and Bella in 2002. He also has a daughter with Spice Girls member Melanie Brown. Now he is happy with Australian model Paige Butcher. They have two children together: daughter Izzy (2016) and son Max Charles (2018).
