Billboard was forced to officially apologize to Taylor Swift over a video about her career. An image of Taylor’s wax figure was used in the video.
And if the photo had been taken at Madame Tussauds, it might have been the author’s idea. The problem is that the doll was made for Kanye West’s famous Famous video. The rapper tried to expose celebrities and hinted at ways to be among world stars. Many saw in this a hint of P. Diddy’s “white parties”.
The publication’s video, dedicated to the star’s second place in the list of the most famous artists of the 21st century, also included a frame from the video in which Taylor’s naked figure appeared on white sheets. “We are deeply sorry to Taylor Swift and all of our readers and viewers for including fake footage in the video celebrating Swift’s accomplishments,” the publication wrote in an apology on its official account.
How the image ended up in the broadcast’s video still remains a mystery. This isn’t the first shortlist-related scandal. Beyonce ranked first on the Billboard chart. Here we wrote about what makes fans so angry about the streaming choice.
