Former UFC champion Conor McGregor was found guilty in the Dublin High Court of sexual assault that occurred in December 2018. The Daily Mail reports this.
McGregor and his friend James Lawrence were accused of harassing their acquaintance Nikita Ní Laimhín. The fighter himself did not deny sexual contact but insisted that it occurred by mutual consent. After admitting his guilt, the athlete was ordered to pay approximately 250 thousand euros (26.9 million rubles -). Note ed.) as compensation for moral damage.
Dr. examined the woman that night. Daniel Keen said the woman was shaking and crying. Defense lawyer John Gordon said Ní Laimhín and McGregor knew each other because they lived in the same area and interacted on social media at different times.
