Ridley Scott’s original Alien film celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. Throughout all these years, conflicts between xenomorphs and humans have occurred in various places, but this did not happen on Earth.
Everything will change next summer. The new series “Alien: Earth,” directed by Noah Hawley (“Fargo”), will premiere. Teaser is already ready to view
The series was first announced in 2020. Hawley decided to focus audiences on the issue of inequality, which had been indirectly addressed in previous films. The previous films in the series were dominated by working-class characters (spaceship crews, soldiers, prisoners) at the mercy of the orders of the mysterious Weyland-Utani corporation. According to Entertainment Weekly, Hawley will be able to show new aspects of the series’ dynamics by bringing the series to Earth.
“In my series you will also see the people who sent this spaceship crew. You will see what happens when the inequalities we currently struggle with are not addressed. “If we as a society can’t figure out how to support each other and distribute the wealth, then what will happen to us?” said the director in an archival interview.
Even though almost half a century has passed, interest in “Aliens” has not diminished. Ridley Scott, the “father” of xenomorphs, also plans to release another part of the film. We wrote about this topic here.
