The 32-year-old star told People magazine that the words of wisdom came from an actress she truly respects. Selena Gomez shared some special advice she heard from her co-star at the Women in Hollywood event.
“I know it sounds stupid, but someone once said: ‘Don’t take yourself too seriously. Because it gives you space, empathy and compassion, and you can get into a movie or a character and really appreciate it,” said the artist. “This came from an actress I really respect,” she added.
“I know it sounds weird, but it really works when you have fun and don’t think too much,” Selena Gomez said.
The singer and actress’ appearance at the party comes after she spoke to ELLE earlier this month about her inspiring experience working with her wonderful Murders in the Same co-star Meryl Streep.
Selena Gomez revealed that she “barely talked” to Streep on her first day on set after the 75-year-old actress joined the show for a third season in 2023. He later shared that he was pleased with Meryl’s professionalism and leadership during the shoot.
Previously, viewers criticized Selena Gomez for a mistake in the new movie “Emilia Perez”. Read about it here.
