The whole world is eagerly waiting for the third season of the cult series Euphoria to be released. There have been numerous rumors about the project since the release of the second season: from rumors that the series is planned to be canceled to rumors that some of the main actors will not return to the project. Vanity Fair decided to ask 28-year-old Zendaya about the airing of the final season.
The actor told the truth about why the shooting of the next season was constantly postponed: “I will say that I have been on vacation for a few years, so it is not like it was postponed because of me… I was open, I was just waiting. I was actually about to start shooting a project right before Euphoria and I thought: “Damn, I’m rusty. I haven’t been on sets for about two years. I’m a little scared.”
As for whether she had a falling out with “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson, the star admitted: “I think shooting is scheduled for January. I haven’t read anything yet, but I can’t wait to see what everyone is working on and what the future of Euphoria looks like. I don’t have a definitive answer at the moment other than shooting is planned to start in January. The most important thing for me is to do justice to the people who love and care about Roo and to make sure she is cared for as a character. “I think that’s my main responsibility.”
According to HBO boss Casey Bloys, everything is going as planned. The third season will enter production in January 2025, almost exactly three years after the second season premiered. Although some Euphoria fans were sure that the main cast had left the series, Bloys denied this information.
Only two actors will definitely not return to the project: Angus Cloud, who died in July 2023 at the age of 25, and Barbie Ferreira, with whom there was a disagreement during the filming of the second season.
