Vin Diesel has built his career around the Fast and Furious franchise, which is expected to conclude with the sequel X fast (2023), Fast X: Part 2.
The film has hit several financing hurdles, and despite being announced in 2023 with a slated 2025 release date, the year is almost over and it was recently reported that the film didn’t even have a final script.
But Diesel has a new update for fans that seems to indicate that everything is headed in the right direction for the final film. In an Instagram post, the actor shared several photos and a video of his recent meeting with Universal marketing director Michael Moses.
In the images, Diesel is wearing a t-shirt that reads “Quick X Part 2 Los Angeles Production 2025,” and the video features an encouraging message from Moses, who is seen riding alongside Diesel in a golf cart. “I’m drifting with Dom Toretto, planning everything, we’ve got this figured out,” Moses said, as the pair laugh and give a thumbs up to the camera.
It appears that Diesel is the driving force behind the making of this film, and they have apparently made some progress in getting the film closer to production. At this point, it seems silly to delay making the film. At this point, it’s been a money-making franchise and they should keep it going until the end.
