Kate Winslet once again spoke about the famous scene from the movie Titanic, which still causes controversy among fans. Many people still cannot forgive director James Cameron for the fact that Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Jack did not survive.

The 49-year-old actress stated that users often misidentify the object her character Rose is holding. “People keep calling it a door, but it’s not even a door,” he explained on Australian talk show The Project. “This is part of a railing that looks like a staircase, it broke,” Winslet added.

When asked the popular question: Can Jack fit into this “object”, the actor could not help but joke. “Who knows if you’ll fit in there,” he said. “Honestly, I don’t have a thought that someone else hasn’t tried to understand.”

By the way, James Cameron had answered this question before. The director explained that Jack had no chance of survival. Many viewers didn’t understand why he couldn’t get on the raft with Rose and survive. Therefore, Cameron conducted an entire study that proved that the duo would not survive in such a situation. He even made a documentary about it.
