The Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region cleared blogger Dmitry Portnyagin of debt for non-payment of taxes of 40.6 million rubles. Izvestia reports this.

It was noted that the court partially met the demands of the businessman, who initially requested the cancellation of his debt exceeding 100 million rubles. According to the man, he paid the principal of the debt in August 2022. According to Dmitry Portnyagin, after the criminal case was opened, he paid the rest of the debt consisting of fines.
Let us also remind you that the blogger was accused of tax evasion and money laundering. The total amount of debt was 124 million rubles. As a result, the blogger himself paid 63 million rubles and appealed another 40.6 million.
Meanwhile, the blogger was released from house arrest in October. Since April 2024, the court has banned him from using the internet and communications. After gaining access to his personal blog, he addressed subscribers and admitted that he was reconsidering his views on life.
