One of the main events of the festival will be the official presentation of the new version of the historical adventure action/RPG game “Troubles”, created with the support of the Internet Development Institute (ANO “IRI”). Its plot takes place in 1612. Game updates will be presented by Alexey Koptsev, general director of the Cyberia Nova studio. And believe me, there will be many of them.

VK Play will also hold a panel dedicated to the Russian computer game development industry with the participation of key players. By the way, the general partner of this interesting event was the VK company.

A short excursion into history: As you probably understand, the festival “1612” is dedicated to the period of the Time of Troubles (1598 – 1613) and also to one of its most important events – the liberation of Moscow from the Polish invaders. Thanks to the efforts of the people’s militia led by Dmitry Pozharsky and Kuzma Minin.

And now we move on to the event program. If you like historical reconstructions you will definitely like it. The “1612” festival area, where the atmosphere of Russia’s late Middle Ages will be recreated, will bring together historians, bloggers, musicians and artists.

Everyone will be able to listen to the educational lecture of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO), attend a gastronomic fair where they can taste popular dishes of the era, and also learn new things at master classes on traditional crafts. For example, everyone will be able to make leather bracelets with their own hands and learn to write with a quill pen, as well as attend a master class on weaving dolls from traditional bastards and painting wooden knives. The event will end with the performances of RADYO TAPOK and DEREZA music group.

If you like antiquity, take our test and guess the meanings of Old Russian words.
