We spend the lion’s share of our time at work, so it is not surprising that people who often communicate in the same field become closer. Not all companies encourage office romances, so many couples hide their sympathies. And if feelings also arise between the boss and the subordinate, and vice versa, then difficulties cannot be avoided in any way. We found great series about relationships at work that will not leave anyone indifferent.
“Office”
Sales Specialist Jim Halpert and Secretary Pam Beasley are the show’s favorite sweet couple. Both of them have been smothering each other unbalanced since the first episode. The colleagues have long worked together at paper supply company Dunder Mifflin, but they are hesitant to make the first move. Despite all the shortcomings, they get married at the beginning of the 6th season.
By the way, the actors are friendly in real life, too. It is known that according to the plot, Jim was supposed to cheat on Pam with a new colleague, but John Krasinski flatly refused to act in this scene, and Jenna Fischer supported his decision.
“They are very loyal, so we showed them a lot of respect. After all, if you go too far they will never come back. And I think if we had shown Jim cheating on Pam, they would never have come back,” commented Krasinski.
“Force Majeure”
“Force Majeure” fascinates not only with its tricky turns and fraudulent schemes between lawyers, but also with its bright romantic duets.
The relationship between the confident Harvey and the red-haired monster Donna (Gabriel Macht and Sarah Rafferty) can be called true partners in crime. They are ready to fend for themselves to head a law firm together. They are not used to giving up, and so despite the difference in location, Harvey cares deeply for Donna.
Mike and Rachel, another power couple, in contrast, prioritize family paradise over successful success. They are both very talented, always ready to lend a shoulder to each other in difficult times. The characters were played by Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle.
“Morning Show”
There are very few romantic moments in this series, but it shows the other side of relationships in the workplace and specifically touches on the issue of harassment. It is also interesting to watch how love for colleagues is replaced by jealousy and the desire to destroy each other.
“What happened to Minister Kim?”
Secretary Kim Mi So decides to quit after several years at the company, but narcissistic and arrogant boss Lee Young-joon is not ready to let her go that easily. He suddenly concludes that the girl is attracted to her beauty and leaves because he is in love with her. He decides to marry a valuable employee to keep her at the company. Needless to say, there are many romantic and funny moments in the drama, and the “chemistry” between the characters of Park Seo-joon and Park Min-yeon makes you root for their relationship as if it were your own.
“It didn’t work”
The series “It Didn’t Work” is based on the true story of Adam Neumann, the head of the coworking company WeWork, and his wife Rebecca, who, by the way, is Gwyneth Paltrow’s half-sister. And although the heroes did not meet in the office, they founded a startup through their joint efforts. It is admirable that the characters believe in each other and support each other in good times and bad times. Starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway.
