The musician’s lawyers noted that his case is unique, in part because “several individuals have brought allegations against Mr. Combs due to his celebrity status, wealth, and extensive media coverage of the cases.” They say this has led to a series of claims made by anonymous plaintiffs “ranging from false to outright ridiculous.”

It is worth noting that Sean Combs did not accept the accusations. He remains in prison awaiting trial. Lawyers recalled that six more people filed civil lawsuits against the celebrity on Monday, all of them anonymous. The attorney handling the case said he represented 120 plaintiffs and his firm’s toll-free number received thousands of calls throughout the day.

“The allegations have created a hysterical media circus that, if left unchecked, will deprive Mr. Combs of a fair trial, which has yet to be rectified.” In this regard, the rapper’s lawyers asked prosecutors to provide the names of all the alleged victims due to the number and anonymity of the accusers. However, the prosecution “objects to the disclosure of the names of the alleged victims at this stage.”
